Our Values
Tailored Programming: Our Trail Guides tailor the experience to the specific desires
of each group including, both the Spiritual and physical components.
Building Community: Experience small group environments, which
foster Christian community, teamwork, trust, vulnerability, caring, and
deeper personal relationships.
Group Cohesion: Build a community in which people feel secure
about their place within the group, to the end that personal thoughts and
feelings are safely aired.

Safety: Ensure wide margins of safety within all activities, equipment, and staff to ensure the well being of each participant.
Servant Leadership: Develop Christian servant leaders by engaging
in a community where servant leadership is encouraged and modeled by
Boundary Waters Experience leaders and staff.
Introspection: Provide abundant amounts of time alone for individual
internalization of the experience, the discussions, and God's Word.
Discipleship: Community discipleship and growth in the groups (and dyadic) relationships with Jesus Christ through the study of God's Word, prayer, worship, solitude and other Christian practices.
Stewardship: Model and teach stewardship of God's creation through
proper environmental ethics and personal practice. Holy Spirit: Expect and embrace the interaction of the Holy Spirit
in the camping community and with individuals.
Character Development: Promote self-discovery and building of
self-esteem through the use of challenging situations with group and
individual support, reflection and future setting of goals.
Intentional Fun: Provide activities, which build fun, joy, and
play into the dynamics of the group and each trip's experience.
Excellence: Expect excellence in all aspects of operation, management,
programming, and training in wilderness ministry, which gives God the
glory for all that is accomplished.
